Shipping Information
Shipping & Order processing:
Once payment has been received, African-artshop.com will ship the item/s via your indicated method of transport. All orders will be processed within 5 working days after you placed your order. Please note that certain items are only manufactured upon receiving your order and a separate e-mail will be send to you the customer advising you on the period of delivery.
• Goods shipped with Airmail will be in transit for 10 – 15 days before reaching your post office address as indicated by you when you placed your order.
• Goods shipped with Surface mail will be in transit for 6 - 8 weeks before reaching your post office address as indicated by you when you placed your order.
• Should you require a different method of shipping e.g. courier (4 – 7 days), airfreight (7 – 14 days) or seafreight please contact us via e-mail and we will obtain a highly competitive rate for you.
• Customs duty and / or taxes maybe levied in your country of destination once the goods arrive and these charges will be for your account.
• It is the responsibility of the African-artshop.com customers to ensure that certain materials e.g. wood, stone, grass, clay etc. will be accepted in your country as no refunds will be given for items shipped but not accepted in country of destination. African-artshop.com will ensure fumigation is done if required and will issue the certification to this effect.
• Please ensure that you supply African-artshop.com the correct delivery address to ensure secure receipt of goods.
• African-artshop.com or any of our shipping service providers cannot be hold liable for any theft, loss or damage after confirmed delivery receipt to the address as specified by African-artshop.com customers.
• Should any African-artshop.com customer supply incorrect shipping information and will result in additional charges these charges will be billed back separately from the original order and the original shipping costs to the African-artshop.com customer.
• Although all care and effort is taken to ensure secure packing, damages in transit sometimes do occur, please contact us with 36 hours via e-mail notifying us on any transit damages.
• All our products shipped are insured to safeguard your purchase.
• Please ensure that you keep the original packaging and we will reimburse you the shipping costs for the return of the damaged item/s.
• Should you not be happy with your purchase due to receiving incorrect product please retain the original packing and contact us within 36 hours via e-mail and we will reimburse you the purchase price as well as the shipping cost for the return of the incorrect item/s.
• Should you not wish to make use of SETCOM please mail us for alternative methods of payment and order processing.
• If African-artshop.com cannot supply your order due to dealing with remote parts of Africa and we are unable to establish contact with the artist we will communicate with you regarding a full refund and this will be done within 14 days after your initial order.
• All products on African-artshop.com are individually hand carved by numerous artists and each art piece will be different. All efforts will be made by African-artshop.com to try and match as close as possible the items represented on our website but unfortunately African-artshop.com cannot guarantee the exact same item as shown. Therefore the weight and dimensions of the actual piece shipped may vary slightly.
• African Art are not 100% perfect, some art pieces may show signs or use, repairs (done by artists themselves), chips, cracks, ageing etc. Please remember that these art pieces were often used in actual African ceremonies and in the day to day living of the African Tribes and these signs are only normal and part of the art piece, you are therefore guaranteed of buying an original piece of African art.
• Since all our products are made from natural substances, no warranties can be issued.
